Finally, let's examine how fast each alternator rotates in a typical aircraft application.

 

In this case, the implication should be evident: assuming all things equal, an alternator that rotates 8% slower would last an equal percentage longer in an identical application.  But to further matters, as we've shown here, all things are NOT equal:  Plane-Power alternators are better designed, better built and better performers in nearly every engineering category than all other brands of aircraft alternators.
